Dr. Mohammed Alian

Dr. Mohammed Alian

Dr Alian is the RQTEPP-TELTA Project coordinator at Al-Azhar University-Gaza and currently Dean of the Faculty of Education. Recently, Dr. Alian has been in charge of several major educational development projects at Al-Azhar University, including the Teacher Education Improvement Project (TEIP) funded by the World Bank. Currently with the team members at Al-Azhar, he is very active in bringing educational technology into practice 

Mr. Montaser S. A. Al-Halabi

Montaser Al-Halabi

Montaser is the Al Azhar-University Coordinator for Work Package 3: Technology Enhanced Learning Teaching and Assessment (TELTA) pathway and also the Coordinator for Work Package 6: Technology Enhanced Learning Environment (TELE) and Smart Learning Rooms (SLR). With Montaser’s enthusiasm and spark for work, based on his long career in technology and background of education, the project is expected to benefit highly from his expertise. Montaser has worked as a virtual learning environment consultant for several organizations; including USAID through the AMIDEAST office in the Gaza Strip.

Dr. Osama S. Hamdouna

HamdounaDr. Hamdouna is the Al Azhar-University Coordinator for Work Package 2: Diversity, Inclusion and Special Educational Needs  (DISEN)  Pathway, and a team member of Work Package 5: Research Capacity Building. Dr. Hamdouna is an Assistant Professor of Psychology in the Faculty of Education. He has a strong background in project management and coordinated the National Teacher Development Center (NTDC), as well as coordinating the “Improving Education in Primary Schools in Gaza” project. Beside his practical experience, he has published several papers in the field of psychology of education and inclusive education.

Dr. Basem Ali A. Kwaik

KwaikDr Kwaik is the coordinator of Work Package 5: Research Capacity Building and a team member of Work Package 2: DISEN. Dr. Kwaik has worked as a consultant on three major World Bank funded projects in Palestine and a number of other high profile curriculum development or capacity building projects. One of the key projects in which he was involved was training for Master Degree in Inclusive Education. He is also active in research and has several published papers.

Dr. Ali M. Nassar

NassarDr Nasser is the coordinator of Work Package 4: Capacity Building in Higher Education Pedagogy, and a team member of Work Package 1: BA Primary Education Degree Programmes. Dr. Nassar is a Senior Lecturer in Primary Education, Math Education and Curriculum Development. Besides excelling in his field, he has participated in several high profile projects including the Teacher Education Improvement Project (TEIP) for which he is coordinator of Component Two: Upgrading the Qualifications of Practising teachers.

Professor Dr. Ata Hasan Darwish

DarwishDr Darwish is the coordinator of Work Package 1: BA Primary Education Degree Programme and a team member of Work Package 4: Capacity Building in Higher Education Pedagogy. Dr. Darwish is a Full Professor in the Department of Methodology and Curriculum. Throughout his long career as a school teacher and later a university academic, he has gained a vast amount of experience in education systems and preservice teacher education programs. He is the coordinator of the World bank funded Teacher Education Improvement Project (TEIP): Component One, which focuses upon strengthening school-based practice in pre-service teacher education programmes. Professor Darwish has also published extensively in his areas of expertise.
